Using the site

nihon.academy is free to use for personal study. You do not need an account and we do not charge for access. You may print any page, including the charts, for your own use or for teaching a class.

What you may not do

• Copy the site's original written content (the mnemonics, explanations and page copy) and republish it as your own.
• Scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other people, or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to it.
• Present the site or its content as your own product, or imply we endorse yours.

Linking to any page is welcome and needs no permission.

Accuracy

The material here is study reference, not certified instruction. We work hard to get it right and correct mistakes when we find them, but we cannot guarantee that every reading, example or explanation is free of error.

This matters most for exam preparation. Where the site presents material organised by JLPT level, understand that the examining body publishes no official vocabulary or kanji lists for the current level system. Any such list, here or anywhere else, is a reconstruction. Do not treat it as an authoritative syllabus.

Intellectual property

The original content on this site, meaning its writing, mnemonics, design and code, belongs to nihon.academy. Some underlying reference material is used under licence from third parties and remains the property of its respective owners.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available. We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We may change, move or remove any part of it, and we may take it offline, without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including exam results, lost study time, or any indirect or consequential loss. You use the material at your own discretion.

Changes
